Large area of high pressure looks to provide several days of delightful weather

Large area of high pressure looks to provide several days of delightful weather, The leading edge of cooler air, a cold front, had passed through the Capital Region early this morning. Northwesterly breezes will kick up through lunchtime, before gradually subsiding during the afternoon hours. A weak upper level disturbance will accelerate eastward from the upper Great Lakes this morning to be over the New York and Canada border tonight. The bulk of the cloud cover and precipitation with this feature is forecast to remain well north and west of the immediate Capital District.

Any residual cloud cover as result of the disturbance should diminish quickly by Friday morning, as a large high pressure area builds into the region during the day. This area of high pressure will crest over the region Saturday before moving to our east, over the New England coast, by Sunday morning. The high pressure center looks to take up residence over the eastern New England coast through the first half of the new work week making forecasting the weather a rather easy job!

Temperatures look to start the forecast period slightly below normal before trending near to slightly above normal. Precipitation amounts look to be below normal.
