Dismissed Jodi Arias juror, Daniel Gibb, says ‘privilege to know’ jury members, On April 27, 2013, the third person to be dismissed from the jury of the Jodi Arias Arizona murder trial spoke out saying it was a “privilege to know” the other jurors, according to KTIC Radio.

Daniel Gibb, initially only known as Juror 8, was arrested on the evening of April 20, and told officers he was a juror on the Arias trial.

On Tuesday, just three days later, the arresting officer met with Judge Sherry Stephens, prosecutor Juan Martinez, and Arias’ attorneys in a sealed hearing, reports KNXV TV. By Thursday, Gibb was dismissed without comment by the judge.

Gibb told the local news media outlet that being on the jury was “…actually a great experience...” and that “It was a privilege to know the other jurors.”

He also said he will miss the other members of the jury.

Arias, 32, is on trial for the 2008 murder of former lover Travis Alexander, 30. He was stabbed 27 times, his throat was slashed from ear-to-ear, and he was shot in the head. She claims she killed him in self-defense after he became violent with her.

If convicted of Alexander’s murder, Arias could be sentenced to death.
