TV anchor fired: Twitter support goes viral for anchor who slips 'F' word on air, A TV anchor fired on his first day on a new anchor desk is making top news headlines today, as CBS News reported this Monday, April 22, that A.J. Clemente recently took to Twitter to let the public now he was let go from KFYR-TV for accidentally saying the “F” word on his first broadcast.

A budding weekend news anchorman speaking for Bismarck TV recently said he was fired for opening his first news day with a big obscenity, added Now My News.

A.J. Clemente wrote on Twitter this Monday after the “F” bomb slip to tell the public the TV anchor fired headline was indeed true:

“Unfortunately KFYR-TV has decided to let me go. Thank you to them and everyone in ND for the opportunity and everyone for the support.”

Previously, the station had said Clemente would only be suspended after the Sunday broadcast mishap. Yet the manager noted in a later statement that he’s unable to talk about the issue, considering it was a “personnel matter.”

The video of A.J. Clemente loosing the “F” bomb on air (within his first fifteen seconds behind the news desk, in fact) quickly became viral online, and Twitter supporters have quickly made themselves known, writing with the hashtag “#Keep AJ” that has now become a trending topic on the popular social media site.

The TV anchor fired for the slipped swear word also tweeted following the broadcast: “That couldn’t have gone any worse! … Rookie mistake. I'm a free agent. Cant help but laugh at myself and stay positive. Wish I didnt trip over my "Freaking Shoes" out of the gate.”
