Mom Sentenced To 80 Years in Prison For Sexually Abusing Her Own Daughter, A woman has been sentenced to 80 years in prison for sexually abusing her 5 year old daughter.
According to published accounts, 30 year old Angeline Kaye Feazelle of Jarrettsville and her live-in boyfriend 31 year old Jeremy Shane Cochran of the 4100 block of Federal Hill Road in Jarrettsville sexually abused the child when she was 5 and 6 years old and lived with the couple.
In 2008 the child told another adult about the abuse and she was immediately removed from the home. The couple was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor, conspiracy to commit child abuse, second degree rape, second degree sexual offense, third degree sex offense, fourth degree sex offense, sexual abuse of a minor contributing to the course of conduct, and conspiracy to commit sex abuse of minor.
Jeremy was convicted of one count of child abuse pursuant to a continuing course of conduct, one count of child abuse, and conspiring with Angeline to commit child abuse. On March 20 2013 he was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
Angeline was convicted in January 2012 of sex abuse of a minor as a continuing course of conduct and two counts of sex abuse of a minor. She received 30 years on the continuing course of conduct charge and 25 years on each of the sex abuse of a minor charge.
"This is probably one of the most horrific cases of child sex abuse I have ever prosecuted. It was so horrible and she was impacted so much. Her childhood was taken away from her and she will have to deal with it afterwards for a long time. It was just a terrible breach of trust. They committed really horrible sex acts on the victim while she failed to stop it. It's hard to choose which one of them was the worst." Deputy State's Attorney Diane Adkins Tobins who prosecuted the case said in a statement to reporters.
