Man survives fall from Empire State building, Imagine being over 80 stories in the air and falling. That thought alone is enough to give some people cold chills. However, according to an article published by ABC News on April 25, a man fell from the 86th floor of the Empire State building in New York, and survived.

New York Police Department Detective Mark Nell, told ABC News that a man jumped from the 86th floor of the famed Manhattan skyscraper, and landed on a catwalk on the 85th floor late Wednesday night.

According to reports, it's unclear if Nathaniel Fimone intentionally fell from the building or if it was an accident.

Fimone was escorted from the catwalk where he landed, and taken to the hospital. He is said to be facing charges of reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.

The Empire State building is located at 350 Fifth Avenue in New York City. It has a total of 102 floors, with more than 6,500 windows. It was constructed in 1929 at a cost of nearly $41 million, and took more than a year to complete according to About.com.
