Have you seen Anna Lucia Garibay?, Missing child alert: Five-year-old Anna Lucia Garibay disappeared on May 5, 2013 after 8:20 p.m. The child was last seen outside a friend's apartment in Scottsdale, Ariz., and officials have been focusing their searches on an area near 70th street and Continental Drive. ABC News 15 reports on this developing case that the child was reported missing by her mother. Was this child kidnapped or is this another false kidnapping report?
Officer David Pubins with the Scottsdale Police says that anyone with information on this disappearance, or anyone who has seen this girl should call authorities.
She was last seen wearing an orange top and flowered skirt with her hair in a ponytail. She is described as being a Hispanic child with dark hair and dark eyes, medium complexion.
If this little girl was kidnapped then anything is possible as far as the length of the search. This could last anywhere from simply overnight to several days to several weeks.
On the other hand, police in Scottsdale do an excellent job at investigating disappearances just like these -- including hoaxes, in case this is one.
There are no further details to report in this brand new case, but hopefully some updates arrive in media reports soon.
